Image

Essentials in brief

The RAM Gallery / Studio is a creation and exhibition space delivered through the RAM project — Relève artistique multidisciplinaire of Accueil aux immigrants de l’Est de Montréal (AIEM). It mainly welcomes emerging artists under 30, offers public exhibitions, creation workshops, and cultural events, and serves as an artistic springboard for young people from diverse backgrounds.

What is the RAM Gallery / Studio

The RAM Gallery / Studio is the physical space where the RAM project takes shape. It is a lively and accessible place designed to create, exhibit, learn, meet the public, and discover contemporary art in different forms.

You will find :

  • professional exhibitions
  • creation workshops
  • meet-and-greets with artists
  • cultural mediation activities
  • community-based public events

The RAM Gallery / Studio is not a stand-alone project: it is the RAM project’s creation and presentation space.

A space open to the community

The RAM Gallery / Studio is designed as a discovery space for everyone :

  • guided visits
  • children’s workshops (example: Halte-Galerie, ages 3 to 6)
  • collaborations with neighbourhood schools
  • free cultural events
  • artistic open-mic events (every last Friday of the month)

The goal is simple
to help families and young people feel comfortable walking into an art gallery

Artistic direction and structured mentorship

The RAM Gallery / Studio is supported by a project lead who is an internationally renowned artist and who provides hands-on guidance to emerging artists throughout their professional journey.

Under the coordination of Delphine Huguet, the RAM project offers structured mentorship designed to help emerging artists
understand how the Québec arts sector works in practice
structure their professional approach
develop artistic and administrative autonomy
build a sustainable artist pathway

This support goes beyond exhibiting work: it equips artists to grow independently within Québec’s cultural network.
