AIEM Golden Age Group
AIEM Golden Age Group
Free activities in Montréal to reduce isolation and build lasting connections

Essentials
AIEM’s Golden Age Group offers free social, cultural, and community activities for immigrant seniors aged 55 and over in Montréal, to support well-being, meaningful connections, and participation in community life.
A welcoming place to feel supported
As we age, some seniors experience more isolation, especially after an immigration journey. AIEM’s Golden Age Group offers a welcoming space to meet others, share experiences, and stay active at your own pace.
The group helps create connections, maintain an active social life, and participate in the community in a respectful, reassuring, non-medical environment.

Activities designed for seniors
Depending on the schedule, AIEM’s Golden Age Group may offer friendly social gatherings, celebrations and seasonal events, cultural and community activities, basic computer and digital skills sessions, dance and well-being activities, theme-based conversations, and organized community outings.
The program changes based on participants’ interests, abilities, and needs.
Who is the Golden Age Group for
This service is for immigrant seniors aged 55 and over, newly arrived or established in Montréal, who feel socially isolated or who want to stay socially active in a safe community setting. It can also be helpful for families looking for a reassuring environment for their loved one.
