Francization courses offered by the AIEM are primarily intended for immigrants who have recently arrived or settled in Montreal, according to eligibility criteria determined by the Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Francisation et de l'Intégration (MIFI).

Yes. The part-time French courses offered by AIEM are free of charge for those eligible, as part of the francization programs supported by MIFI.  Registration and access to courses are subject to certain administrative conditions and availability of groups.

No. Francization courses are offered at different levels, including beginner levels.

A ranking is carried out in order to propose a group adapted to the level of French of each person, to promote progressive and realistic learning. 

A childcare service is available at AIEM’s head office for participants attending francization activities, by prior reservation.

Part-time francization courses are offered mainly at the AIEM headquarters, located in the east of Montreal, at: 5960 Jean-Talon Street East, Suite 209, Montreal QC H1S 1M2.

Classes are also available in Rivière-des-Prairies, at Jean-Grou Secondary School, located at: 12725 Rodolphe-Forget Boulevard, Montréal, Québec H1E 6P6. 

Depending on groups and programming, schedules may include daytime, evening, or weekend classes.
