A service to support you through your journey

Immigrating is a major step that can bring important personal, family, and emotional changes. Adapting to a new society takes time and can sometimes be challenging. 

The psychosocial support service of Accueil aux immigrants de l’Est de Montréal (AIEM) offers a safe, human, and respectful space to support immigrants living in vulnerable situations. You are not alone. 

Who is the psychosocial support service for?

The service is for immigrants who may experience: 

  • stress or anxiety 
  • feelings of isolation 
  • family or relationship difficulties 
  • emotional challenges related to migration 
  • a complex adaptation period 

Access to the service depends on the assessment of needs and staff availability.

What we offer

The psychosocial support service may include: 

  • a confidential listening space 
  • individual psychosocial support 
  • support in complex personal or family situations 
  • orientation to internal or external resources, when needed 

This is a non-medical service, offered through a community-based approach, respectful of your reality and your pace.

  • an approach adapted to the migration experience 

Each situation is unique. Support is always personalized.
