Are you a naturalized Canadian citizen? AIEM supports your continued integration in Quebec through community participation, group activities, volunteering, and orientation. If members of your family are still in the immigration or settlement process, they may also receive support depending on their status.
Ongoing support, even after citizenship
At Accueil aux immigrants de l’Est de Montréal (AIEM), integration does not stop once citizenship is obtained.
Naturalized citizens remain established immigrants, fully active in Quebec society, and can continue to access services that support social, community, and civic participation.
Our services aim to support your involvement, strengthen social connections, and highlight your place within the community.
How AIEM can support you
As a naturalized citizen, you may:
- take part in social, cultural, and community activities
- participate in projects that encourage civic engagement
- receive occasional support in specific situations
- get involved as a volunteer with AIEM
- contribute to community life and intercultural matching initiatives
These services are offered free of charge, depending on activities and availability.
If a member of your family is in the immigration process
Even if you are a Canadian citizen, your partner or children may still be in the process of settlement or regularizing their status.
At AIEM, we can:
- inform and guide your family toward the right services
- support your loved ones according to their immigration status and eligible services
- facilitate access to settlement, integration, or support services when applicable
Each situation is reviewed individually to ensure fair, clear, and appropriate orientation.
