Key points

Collective information sessions are free group meetings, in French, offered by AIEM. They help immigrants understand how Québec society works, learn about available services, and understand important steps, to support a safer and more independent integration.

An information service to help you find your way

At Accueil aux immigrants de l’Est de Montréal (AIEM), collective information sessions are part of the welcome and integration services for immigrants who are newly arrived or in the process of settling in Québec.

These group meetings provide clear, reliable information adapted to life in Québec, in a respectful setting, led by qualified staff.

Practical topics for life in Québec

Sessions cover key topics for settling and integrating, such as:

settlement steps

housing and tenants’ rights

the school system and how to register children

health and social services

work and the job market

rights and responsibilities

daily life in Québec

available community resources

Topics are chosen based on participants’ needs and may change from one session to another.
