RAM — Multidisciplinary Emerging Artists
RAM — Multidisciplinary Emerging Artists
An arts and culture project that supports emerging talent from immigrant backgrounds and values creation as a tool for expression, confidence, and cultural participation in Montréal

Essentials in brief
RAM is a multidisciplinary arts project led by Accueil aux immigrants de l’Est de Montréal (AIEM). It is mainly for young adults aged 18 to 30 who are interested in artistic creation. Through regular workshops, meetings with professionals, exhibitions, and public events, RAM helps participants develop an artistic practice, build confidence, and share their work with the public.

What is RAM
RAM (Multidisciplinary Emerging Artists) is a cultural project that supports young creators, especially those from immigrant backgrounds, in developing their artistic voice and creative pathway.
The project is built on a practical and inclusive approach :
creation guided by artists and arts professionals
discovering local artistic references
real opportunities to present work and meet the public
valuing diverse backgrounds, identities, and voices
RAM is not a school course or an academic program. It is a space for experimentation, guidance, and visibility.
Who the project is for
RAM is mainly for :
- young adults aged 18 to 30
- artists at an early stage or in an exploration phase
- people with a strong interest in art, whether they already have a practice or not
- people from immigrant backgrounds or interested in artistic approaches linked to identity, lived experience, or cultural diversity
Disciplines are varied :
- visual arts
- digital and media arts
- photography and video
- performance
- interdisciplinary practices
Good to know
depending on the activities and schedule, some initiatives may also welcome participants aged 14 to 17. When this applies, the details and supervision are shared at registration.
What RAM offers in practice
The project includes :

- The RAM Gallery / Studio is the physical place where part of the project happens.
The RAM Gallery / Studio is a creation and presentation space for the RAM project, not a separate project.
A dedicated page presents the Gallery, its exhibitions, visits, opening hours, and how to exhibit.
